- Bigelow Green Tea! I've moved on from my pomegranate white tea obsession to this one. Very calming and full of goodness
- Owning a coffee maker! it's been pretty nice to wake up on these godawful snowmaggedon days and have a big dose of caffeine.
- Friends' baby showers! I'm very happily sans baby, but that doesn't mean I don't get excited when friends have them. Close friends with babies is the best of both worlds: I get to buy some cutesy crap and indulge my ladyclock without actually having to deal with an anklebiter 24/7.
- Best in Show! The husband introduced me to this movie, a hilarious mockumentary about dog shows. I've been quoting it nonstop since.
- My new lappy! This is my new netbook. It fits in my messenger bag, lets me write at work, and has 4X the space of the desktop that got me through high school and half of college. Yay technology!

Another Happy Post
Our resident Mistress is correct that it's been awhile since any of the Wenches have done a happy things post. So here's mine:

Things I Like
Things I Like
If Molly can do it, so can I! Believe it or not, I do like a lot of things. Yes, I'm a general curmudgeon most of the time, argumentative and sometimes very snarky, but I am loyal to the stuff that I like/love. Here are some of the things that float my boat.
Good TV: When I say good TV, I mean stuff like Castle, The Middle, Monk, Doctor Who, and Big Bang Theory, not that shite reality stuff that the networks try to pass off as programing. Oh and can I get a woo hoo for Chuck coming back in January!! Finally, NBC has done something RIGHT!
Christmas Music: It wasn't until The Moody Blues released a Christmas album that I truly became addicted to the stuff. I scramble around to find all the new music each year and I make mixes for my friends and send them CDs with full artwork instead of cards.
Books: I've loved to read since I was about 5 years old. I'll read anything....except any more of the crap Twilight series. Book 1 was more than enough. My stomach couldn't handle anymore of that. If I want to read about vampires, I'll hunt down some better books than that poorly written piece of poo. Harlequin has a new young adult line that has some impressive titles and authors most of which are of the paranormal variety. Take a look here.
Tiramisu: If you want to win my heart, go through my stomach, its big enough. Just bring me a nice plate of this yummy dessert and I'm yours. Yup, I'm a cheap date! I can be bought with tiramisu and a nice raspberry lambic beer!
Christmas Trees: I love decorating trees. I love ornaments. If I could have a tree in every room of the house I would. The only thing I can't stand about them is putting on the lights! That is freaking evil.
Sleep: Pass me the Advil PM and let me get my 8 hours! I love to get all snuggled up in my fuzzy robe and just sleep and sleep. Its pretty much a shame that

Things I Like Saturday
Things I Like Saturday
My friend Cait keeps a blog called Things I Like Thursday, in which she lists things she {digs/ has done/ is grateful for} that week. Since I'm a big fan ofripping people off homages, I thought I'd make my own list.
sugar snap peas: officially my favorite veggie now, but a close second would be....
mushrooms: The sight of mushrooms used to make me gag, but after a delicious meal at a hole-in-the-wall Chinese diner in New York, I really dig them.
Look at That F***ing Hipster: Sort of like Andrea's People of Wal-Mart post, this blog makes me feel better by laughing at ridiculous people. So this is going to be for the next generation what disco fashion was to us. Click here for hipster fail (warning, some NSFW captions and pics at times)
Half-days at work: It's the best of both worlds: a break and a paycheck. Once the holidays pick up, I'll be seeing quite the opposite with overtime, so I'm basking in half-days and long lunches while I still can.
Ben Folds: Every few months I'll have an internal debate as to whether I've "outgrown" Ben Folds. Then I'll see him in concert and realize how stupid that internal argument was. Plus, he's always super nice when he meets people after shows, even when he's been up for hours and his fans go all teenybopper crazed on him.
NaNoWriMo: I'm using it as an excuse to finally finish writing my sketch comedy show, so wish me luck!
chamomile tea: An honest-to-blog miracle drink. Keeps the cold bugs away while making you less stressed AND tasting awesome? Hells yeah!
