Goddess Fish Promotions Virtual Tour: A Stolen Season

A STOLEN SEASON
by Tamara Gill

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Time-traveling archaeologist Sarah Baxter just left a piece of 21st-century equipment in 19th century Regency England. Unfortunately, when she goes back to retrieve it, she makes an even bigger mess of things—resulting in the death of an English earl. Now his brother is not only out for revenge, but he also has Sarah's device. Now Sarah must find a way to steal back her device, hide the truth about the earl's brother and—most importantly—to not fall in love...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Excerpt :

“You will have to sleep with him.” Richard threw his cheroot into the unlit hearth. “I thought you planned on doing that anyway. You like him, and he obviously likes you, so what’s the problem? It’s not like you’re a virgin.”

Sarah shushed him and sat down on the opposite chair. “That’s not the point. I can’t just jump his bones; women of this era don’t work that way. He has to court me, woo me.” She sighed at Richard’s disgusted expression. “I know it sounds lame, but it’s actually quite nice to have a gentleman sweep you off your feet.”

Pineapple Bread Pudding

My family loves bread pudding. Any time I have some extra cinnamon raisin bread, I whip up some.

Is it a dessert or is it breakfast food?

I think it could be either.

This recipe is very similar to the scalloped pineapple recipe I use at Christmas and Easter.

 This is a recipe anyone can do.

Very easy!

Very delicious!

Ingredients

1 20 oz can of crushed pineapple
5 slices of bread cubed and sliced (any white bread works)
1/2 c butter melted
1 cup of sugar
1 tsp vanilla
4 eggs beaten

Directions

Preheat your oven to 325

Grease a 2 qt baking dish  I like a nice butter spray

Toss your bread in the dish

Combine your beaten eggs, sugar, pineapple and butter and vanilla.

Pour over your bread cubes and stir until the bread is well coated.

Cover with foil and bake for 1 hour.

Serve with a little bit of milk or maple syrup!

Move Over Hamburger Helper

Let's face it. Most of us love cheeseburger helper, right?

But those boxes are just ick.

If you really want a great cheeseburger mac all you need are 4 ingredients.

1 lb of ground meat browned and drained.
1 jar double cheese ragu
8 - 12 ounces of your favorite easy melt cheese
2 cups of macaroni cooked to package directions.

Combine the meat, ragu and cheese, and heat until the easy melt is, well, melted then add the macaroni and stir.

Cover and leave on low heat for about 15 minutes so the macaroni absorbs all the yummy cheesy sauce.

Serve with a crunchy pickle!

Sabrina York, Saranna DeWylde, Roxie Rivera,

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
For decades the US Marines funded a top-secret unit known as Elite Recon. A deadly group of men and women sent to infiltrate dozens of countries completely undetected. Mission objectives so extreme casualties were not only probable, but expected.
The current batch of operatives had returned from hundreds of assignments unscathed…until one mission went horribly wrong. Several men lost their lives and the group disbanded. The remaining leathernecks were scattered in the wind with new identities. They were told to blend in. Be normal. Or face being forever silenced just like their fallen brothers.
Now, two years later, each living member of the group is kidnapped and given a chance to make things right. But this time they’re no longer under the thumb of Uncle Sam. A mysterious private backer who knows about their past has brought them back together. No longer are they forced to turn a blind eye to the lost and forsaken.
A new life. A new future…Elite Metal.
~~~~~~~~

In the shadow of regret, Steele is reborn from the flames of a Phoenix. To right the wrongs that destroyed his military family, he must put his trust in the hands of a mysterious backer, and the woman who led his team to the slaughter.

Not knowing who sold her out at the final hour, Alayna Devlin, spent the last two years on the run. Then the mastermind behind Elite Metal tracked her down, and offered her the chance to atone for past mistakes. To cleanse her conscience requires a baptism by fire and submission to the man who will either put the final nail in her coffin or set her heart free.

The past. The future. Truth. Lies. Nothing is as it seems when two shattered hearts are finally given the chance to heal.

Until he becomes obsessed with the seemingly innocent doctor Hazel Brewer and a chance encounter changes everything.

Hazel knows the giant scarred man won't hurt her even though she's in the business of saving lives and he'd rather take them. In fact, she's never felt safer or more alive than when she's with him. Even when a terrible biological weapon forces her into his arms for a night of hot passion she won't soon forget.

Their love could be the redemption he never thought he wanted, or something even more toxic: Mercury's poison.

Mercury’s Poison

Fucking fuck.

He shouldn’t have fucking touched her. Spoken to her. Gotten close enough to breathe the same air.

Goddamn it.

He wasn’t going to follow her home, but he had to make sure she got there okay. Or that’s what he told himself to reconcile the fact that he couldn’t turn away from her. That he was still starved for the sight of her.

And what a sight it was.

He knew he should’ve stopped watching when she began peeling her clothes off, but he couldn’t. She was too damn beautiful. He watched her touch herself, a violation to be sure. John had never been so hard, until he’d heard her whisper his name.

It sent a jolt of pleasure and pain through him.

He wanted it to end, he wanted it to last forever.

John didn’t feel these things, to have her ignite them both, well more was the pity. She’d never be free of him now. He knew he was obsessed. Knew his behaviors were unhealthy for him and for her.

But he couldn’t stop.

Didn’t want to stop.

He thought it would be okay as long as he didn’t touch her, didn’t affect her. But he did. He’d violated those rules and in doing so had violated her. This, now, even though she fantasized about him—and no mistake, he would hear his name on her lips from now until he stood at the gates of hell every time he came—but that didn’t mean it was invitation to watch her. He’d take a man’s head off for doing the same to her.

His cock strained against his fatigues, demanding to be taken in hand. He had to stop this, he couldn’t do this anymore because he knew now that there were no lines he wouldn’t cross when it came to her. He was going to smear his hands all over her pretty wings and he’d break her. Ruin her.

Hurt her.

The sound of another presence distracted him.

He held his position on her balcony, silent and still as he considered his options.

The man above was mostly silent, moved with some skill. He wore combat boots that had been shined so that they glinted in the moonlight. The sign of a professional. What had the pretty little doctor gotten herself into that warranted the attention of whomever jerked this guy’s chain?

He had a choice. Kill this guy now or watch him and see what he would do? He could take the chance that this was just a burglar, but if it wasn’t, they’d soon send someone else. Maybe when Merc wasn’t there.

He edged around to where the balcony opened into her living room and pressed himself against the wall. If he was discovered, he’d just have to kill him.

The man moved quickly, installing surveillance equipment—

Kill him.

No, find out why. Or they’ll just send another.

Kill him, too. Kill them all.

Mercury forced himself to stay still, to wait. This was why he was Mercury—this was why he was poison. His solution was kill first, talk later.

 “I see you there, you ugly bastard,” a voice whispered.

Mercury froze.

“I’m not afraid of you. I know who you are, John Thrace. Get your bitch on a leash if you want to keep her safe. We’ll be watching.”

He reached around the corner and grabbed nothing but air. The man leapt from level to level, adept at parkour. Merc would’ve pursued him, if not for the soft voice begging him to stay.

He turned to see her there, the light from inside a nimbus. “Please.” She reached out to him.

“You should fear me.”

“I don’t.”

He closed his eyes and breathed deep to steady himself. “You should let me find out what they want from you.”

“I know what they want from me. Come inside.”

Said the fly to the spider.

He opened his eyes and centered his hard stare on the tiny camera. He yanked it from its perch and crushed it beneath his boot. If they knew who he was, that was a problem that would have to be addressed.

Her small hand on his arm was all it took to fell him. Like a giant redwood, he toppled to her will and stepped inside her apartment. “Why didn’t you ask how I know where you live?”

She’d wrapped a pink silk robe around her delectable body and he couldn’t stop wondering what that silk would feel like. If he’d even be able to feel it.

“I know you watch me always.”

“That’s fucked up, Hazel.”

She looked up at him, her eyes guileless. “I know. But probably no more fucked up that you’re always watching.”

“I don’t just watch you. I stalk you. I’m dangerous.” He couldn’t seem to make her understand.

“I know that, too.” Her hand was still on his arm.

“You should stop touching me.”

“I like touching you.”

Goddess Fish Promotions Book Tour: Broken Dreams

BROKEN DREAMS
by Nancy Pennick

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
BLURB:
Two friends...
Blood sisters till the end...
Until they're not.
One cold night in a boarding school dorm, two fourteen-year-old girls make a blood sister pact. Friends forever. As young schoolgirls, they're determined to find true love, learning the hits and misses along the way. As graduation nears, the girls have different outlooks for the future. Lucinda longs for adventure. Anna chooses city life and marriage. Finding their way back together, the girls head west for an experience of a lifetime until a handsome cowboy bursts into their lives, changing the course of their friendship forever.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Excerpt :

Anna shook her head. “I’m glad it’s over.” She slowly closed her eyes and took the deepest breath possible. “But I’m proud of myself. I hate the sight of blood, but it was worth it.” She lifted her left hand to examine the cut. Blood trailed down her finger.

Lucinda also raised her left hand. Her middle finger dripped with blood. “Then let’s get started.” She lit a tall taper candle on the table. The flame flickered slightly giving the darkened room a mystical glow. “On this day of January the twenty-fourth …” She stretched out her arm toward Anna. “I, Lucinda Ann Walker, being of sound mind and body, make you my blood sister.”

Anna giggled. “You make it sound so formal.” She could tell Lucinda fought back a smile, but her face stayed solemn. “Alright, then.” Anna cleared her throat. “I, Anna Grace Douglass, also being of sound mind and body, make you my blood sister in the year of our Lord, 1923.”

They positioned their hands together, fingertip-to-fingertip, mixing the blood. Anna’s finger throbbed with pain, but she felt happy. She was thrilled she decided to come to this very exclusive private boarding school on scholarship. When she met her roommate she never dreamed they’d become best friends. Lucinda’s personality was bigger than life, quite the opposite of Anna. Now five months later, they were a sorority of two.

Album Review: Maybe I'm Dreaming

Sometimes you discover a band by accident. I rediscovered this band at Christmas, and I fell in love with them when I heard Peppermint Winter on a tv music station a few months ago.

Maybe I'm Dreaming is electronica at its pop finest. I would categorize them as twee. There songs are sweet and beautiful.

"On The Wing" is the album's opener and its romantic pop that could inspire the next romantic comedy that everyone must see.

To go the opposite direction is "Rainbow Veins" which is more pop, of the earworm variety. Its upbeat and fun, but you just can't make Adam Young's voice sound anything but sweet.

I still haven't figured out if that's a good thing or not.

The best line from this song "Somewhere there is a happy affair, the ghost of a good mood."

"Super Honeymoon" is electronic pop along the lines of Erasure. The bleeps and bloops are happy. The lyrics are simple and much like a nursery rhyme. Its hard to take a song seriously with lines like "We played golf on the moon and tennis on the sun."

But don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with this song or any of the others on Maybe I'm Dreaming.

Owl City makes innocent pop music and there's very little of that out there anymore.

"The Saltwater Room" features the baby girl vocals of Breanne Duren. If there were ever two people that were  meant to sing together it is Beanne and Adam. There voices blend perfectly.

There's a bird theme in a lot of Owl City songs, as well as a traveling theme. Two of those songs are "Early Birdie" and "Air Traffic."

One of the best songs on Maybe I'm Dreaming is "The Technicolor Phase" This is the type of song girls dream about. It's pure romance and only slightly sickeningly sweet. Don't let, a bitter jaded girl put you off, because even the hardest heart will turn to mush when Adam sings,
"If you cut me I suppose I would bleed the colors of the evening stars (My darling) You can go anywhere you wish 'Cause I'll be there, wherever you are (My darling)"
"I'll Meet You There" is another pop love song. Its shiny and sweet and absolutely perfect. Perfect is a word that you have to use when it comes to Owl City. Adam Young has crafted the perfect pop album with Maybe I'm Dreaming and the title suits his style of music. There's something dreamy and ethereal about the songs on this album.

If you like music that feels like a trip through the clouds to a candy colored rainbow land, this is the album for you.
