Bowties Are Cool

The Eleventh Doctor started it all. Allow me to show you a few reasons why bowties are in fact, very cool.

Mika proves that not only are bowties cool, but so are funny plaid suits!

Bill Nye has always known bowties were cool, but never more so than on Dancing With The Stars!

Heck, even Ashton Kutcher knows they are cool! Waves to Kelso!

Aw hell....and when it comes to David Tennant...everything is cool

Prayers For Randy Travis

I felt so bad when Randy was having his problems of late. He's a talented singer and sometimes celebrity gets the best of you.

If you are up on celebrity news...you'll know that he was suffering from a virus that sent him into congestive heart failure. He started to improve only to suffer a stroke.

He's 54 years old.

Celebrity or not, that is too young to be in such condition. I wouldn't wish that health on anyone...

Prayers going out to Randy for a good recovery..and hope that the stroke wasn't too severe.

RIP George Lindsey

It seems like all we are doing this year is saying goodbye to icons, both musical and television...Whitney Houston, Davy Jones, Adam Yaugh, Dick Clark and now joining the ranks, George Lindsey, who the world will remember with fondness as Goober Pyle.

Another member of the iconic cast of The Andy Griffith show going on to his great reward.

Hats off you to George!

Thanks for the laughs!

George was 83.

Cadbury Racist?

I'm trying to figure out why Naomi Campbell is so insulted by a Cadbury ad, except that the ad is calling her names.

But wait....it isn't calling her any bad names.....or names you'd really get upset about.

Nope, it is comparing her to a chocolate bar...

I was actually surprised by the comments on the OMG site  that agreed with me. I don't think it is racist. It is calling Naomi a diva. And how many times has Naomi acted like a diva?

Maybe that's the real reason she's offended by the ad. Not because it is comparing her to a chocolate bar, but because it is calling her out for her lousy behavior in a nice way.

So what do you think about the ad? Is it really racist?

So Long Sarah Jane Smith

Elisabeth Sladen the actress best known for portraying Sarah Jane Smith, companion to Doctor Who has passed away. She had been battling cancer for a long time.

I can't remember when I last felt so bad about a celebrity death. I love Doctor Who and Sarah's character has always been one of my favorites on the show. I especially loved her new series The Sarah Jane Adventures.

She was such a beautiful and talented lady.

Things That Make Me Go Hmmmm and Woo hoo

~ Republicans passed a budget that will slash social safety net programs like food stamps and Medicaid and fundamentally restructure Medicare health care for the elderly. Way to go fucktards. I can't believe people voted for you.

~ Charlie Sheen is organizing a Bi-Polar Awareness Week. Maybe he should become aware of it..and get some help himself!

~ Miley Cyrus won't be touring the US because she doesn't feel the love here. Hmmm. Could it be because we know she hasn't got talent. But then again, people still watch Idol....so that really can't be it...maybe we're just sick of her!

~ OMG OMG OMG there's going to be a Men In Black III. I have no idea why that fills me with such glee. Aw hell..the movies are such fun, and Will Smith is so damn cute! I can't wait.

~ Drew Carey has a new Improv-A-Ganza show on GSN! Yay! Not as good as Whose Line, but it still gets a squee from me

Bye Bye 2.5 Men

Two and a Half Men: The Complete Eighth Season
I've never been happier to see a show go into a semi-permanent hiatus than Two and a Half Men.

Charlie Sheen, has apparently gone all Mel Gibson on Chuck Lorre. Not a nice thing to do, really.

I've never understood the appeal of this show, though I like most of the people involved in it, especially Jon Cryer, who really deserves something this hit worthy, but also less sleazy.

Charlie Sheen does not act in this show. He plays himself, which in most cases could best be described as a scumbag. But I don't have to tell you that, right? This show has been in the top 10 for years. I also see that as further proof that American's watch crap.

Want to read more about Sheen's latest tirade? Click here.  Apparently he missed that cliche that says not to bite the hand the feeds you.  Oh and he has some advice for Lindsay Lohan too....

he said: 'I've got some things I would recommend she consider. Work on your impulse control.

'Just try to think things through a little bit before you do them.'

Perhaps he should take his own advice?

Billy Ray Is A Big Ole Whiner

Have you read the headlines where Billy Ray Cyrus states "Hannah Montana Destroyed My Family"?

For the love of God, Billy Ray, you know the industry. You've seen what it has done to other tween girls, yet Miley wen to that audition, and you took part in the show. Hell, Billy Ray, you were by far more entertaining than she was in the show.

Now that she's all grown up, with a taste of the hugeness that celebrity brings, you say it has wrecked your family.

Whose fault is it?

Besides Disney for creating all of these TV Show/Musician monsters with little or no talent.

I think the blame should partly fall on you.

You were the parent.

So was Tish.

You chose to let your child follow this path.

She's 18 now and is heading down the path of screwupville.

Guess whose fault that is too.

Stop whining...and start putting your life together...so Miley has someone to lean on when her life goes BOOM! a'la Lindsey Lohan or Britney Speers.

Congrats To Craig Ferguson

Craig Ferguson: A Wee Bit o' Revolution
My favorite late night host, welcomed a new son.  His wife, Megan, gave birth to  a baby boy!

Liam James Ferguson was born Monday in L.A.

It seems like everyone is having babies or adopting them lately!

Weird News

I go away a few days from the blog and all kinds of things are happening.

~ Jim Parsons wins the globe for actor in a comedy. No upset there really. He won the Emmy a few months back.

~ Speaking of the Globes...why is this award show necessary? We have the Emmy Awards. We have the Oscars. What's the point of this crazy ass combination of the two?

~ Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban welcome another child via surrogate. Congrats to them. What I don't understand are the haters out there. C'mon people. Nic and Keith are good people and not crazy like her ex.

~ The series finale of Hannah Montana got a record number of viewers: 6.2 million! Bye Hannah! Don't come back now! Ya'hear!

~ Melissa Etheridge is going to take a walk on the Great White Way in American Idiot. Further proof that Broadway is losing credibility and inspiration. No offense to Ms Etheridge.

~ Vince Neil is going to jail for 2 weeks and then will be under house arrest for DUI for another 2. WTF! DUI and he gets 2 weeks...the rest of the world would serve a real sentence! How is this justice?

~ Regis is retiring....OMG the 9 a.m hour will never be the same.

One Year Later And He's Still Whining

I'm so sick of hearing Conan O'Brian WHINE like a little boy over the whole NBC debacle last year.  There's nothing like a bunch of whining rich people.

OK Conan...a few words of advice.

You fell into a shit pile with NBC. Yes, it sucked, but...and this is a big but...so pay attention here: YOU GOT PAID MILLIONS AND YOU HAVE A NEW SHOW! So you came up smelling like a rose.

So for the love of God, stop playing the "poor me" or "pity me" card and act like a grown up. I know from the humor you've used on all three shows, that may be difficult for you, but try it. It means you're a bigger stronger man, and not a wimp.

I'm at a point where I like Conan as much as I like Sarah Palin...and that's not one iota.

2010's Most Overexposed Celebrites According To ME!

Who am I to judge?

I'm me, and these are the celebrities I'm totally sick of hearing about from 2010.

1. Sarah Palin: Politician, reality show star? WTF!!! Shouldn't this last thing totally keep her out of the running for President? Probably not, because we don't have any sense anymore, but lordy, I'm sick of seeing her mug everywhere I look. And she writes books?  Really? Are we sure? GAH!

2. Justin Bieber: I've heard he may be dating Selena Gomez from Wizards Of Waverly Place. Why? I guess he might be a step up from a JoBro though...then again...maybe not.

3. Miley Cyrus: Smiley Miley or Slutty Cyrus or whatever you want to call her is just getting to me. Smoking freaking herbs and whatnot...final season of Hannah Montana...slutty music videos..It's all too much if you ask me.

4. Taylor Swift: Now don't get me wrong, I love Taylor. She's sweet, cute and all those other things that give you warm fuzzy feelings, but she's everywhere!! And it's getting old, because even though she's good, she's not that good. And for a youngun, she's sure got a long line of ex's. I wonder how many there will be by the time she's 30!!!

5. Paula Abdul: How was it determined that she is a judge of talent? Who determined she had talent in the first place? Why did we have to give her a dancing show? Really! I know she's a choreographer and a good one...but she's a bit crazy...and isn't Dancing With The Stars one dancing show too many on the telly?

6. Oprah: Nice lady..yes... Her show is ending after a bazillion years...yes... But who cares...she's starting her own damn network! Isn't that more than enough? Oye and vey!

7. Conan O'Brien: The more I see this whiner..the more I hate him. Truly! I can't say anything nice about him anymore. I'm also sick of those American Express commercials he's done. See Conan...you can fall into a pile of dung and come up smelling sweet...I think that's why I hate people like that.

8. Kate Gosselin: I wish this woman would just raise her damn hoard of children and get out of the limelight.

9. Robert Pattinson:  One day I'll figure out why people think he's hot. He does look better when he's not Edward..but not by much. Plus his acting isn't all that great.

10. Brangelina: I'm lumping this supercouple together because I'm sick of all the tabloid fodder, and her genuine icky-ness. Plus I just want to feed her a cheeseburger or twenty

Before He Was Famous

Watch this video for Love Me Right by Euphoria and you will see a very young (21) Simon Baker, dancing shirtless and badly.

Trust me, its worth it to see him shirtless. This stuff is seriously why life is good!
