A Wench's Favorite TV Sidekicks

Sometimes it isn't the stars of the show that keep me coming back for me...it is the sidekicks.

Here are a few of my favorites from shows past and present..

Stephen Hyde from That 70s Show.

There's a little bit of everything going on in this show and Stephen is the tough smart stoner that you can't help but love.

He's played by Danny Masterson, who really needs to do more acting, because he was great in this part.

Oh and he's pretty darn cute too

Next up is Carl McMillan from Mike and Molly.

Carl is by far the funniest character on the show right now. I hope the new season spends more time developing his character and less time on Mike and Molly trying to get pregnant...that really ruined last season for me.

However if I was going to get laughs from this show, Carl and his grandma were usually the two characters that pulled them out of me...oh and the dog, Jim!

Ok...there are some ladies on the list too.

How can you not love Two Broke Girls Sophie Kaczynski?

Any time she's on the screen, you are bound to laugh, plus her character and Max are just awesome together.

Another favorite of mine is Bill Daily's Major Healy from I Dream of Jeannie...he also rocks as a side kick in the first Bob Newhart Show as Howard Borden.

Bill knows how to play those lovable not so smart types that always keep a smile on your face.

So who are some of your favorite TV sidekicks...these are just a few of mine.

The Royal Baby!

Some may ponder why Americans get so excited about the birth of the Royal Baby...when we put off British rule hundreds of years ago.

I'll tell you why.

1. It is feel good news.

2. We only have celebrities to get excited about when they give birth and for some reason there's just nothing totally thrilling about another child about to be given a screwed up name..who will likely end up messed up as a result of the parents.

So yeah, I'm happy for Will and Kate...I'm also happy for Hillary Scott of Lady Antebellum who gave birth yesterday as well.

May all the babies be happy and healthy and well loved.

Now Duchess Kate needs to consider working on the spare heir.....

A Video Starring Adam Ant...As Cpt Jack Sparrow

There comes a time in a performers life when they should tone things down.

At 58, its time for Adam Ant to do just that.

I know the man has had some troubles since the 90s when he had an awesome comeback.

His voice is kinda still there...but it is hard not to look at him and just go...ADAM WHY!!

Adam was one of my hugest crushes in the 80s...and for good reason...the man is gorgeous..and I think if you can find his face under that huge obnoxious hat and shave his Jack Sparrow fur from his face, that guy is still there.

Have a look and listen and let me know what you think?

Some People Still Got It

For some reason I've been watching a lot of Monkees clips feature Mike Nesmith. (I can't deal with Davy clips since he passed away last year)

I'm so surprised at how great Mike sounds.

I wish he looked as good as he sounds.

I came across this clip of Sweet Young Thing from their tour last year...and it was really fantastic.

I really wish I could have seen them...

Oh and here's my favorite Mike song..

Spotlight: Wolf Fever by Milly Taiden

Blurb

When Raine Bowe volunteers for a sleep study for the extra cash, she didn't expect to wake in a lab or to be victimized by a mad scientist. She escapes with one objective--to find someone strong enough to wage war with the evil growing inside her.

Ryder Storm is a man with a reputation--the bad boy of his own universe. He doesn't take prisoners, won't give into a sweet smile, and doesn't cut his pack an inch of slack. He knows the desperate woman in his bar is his the moment he lays eyes on her. He'll give her anything she wants, except the one thing she's begging for. Death.

Raine enlists Ryder’s help to unravel the mystery surrounding the hours she lost in the lab and to help tame the beast inside her. In their search for answers, the road will lead them to a twisted experiment involving shifters, humans, and the creation of the ultimate Alpha. He's ready for the adventure and she's ready for her answers. Neither are ready for the lust that calls down from the mating moon. But a wolf knows its mate, and an alpha will not stop until he or she gets what they want.

Excerpt
Run!
The loud hammering of Raine’s heart drowned out the single word bouncing around her mind—and the dogs barking at her back. Their angry growls faded the faster she ran. A little further. Just a little more, and she’d be home free.
Trees swooshed past her with every step she took away from the small isolated facility. She ignored the hospital gown swinging against her legs and the blood dripping down her arms from the torn IVs. Barefoot, the rocks bit into the soles of her feet. None of that mattered. She had to survive. Her life depended on getting as far away from that place as possible.
Inhaling the comforting scent of mud, trees, and the wild, she barely heard the barking over the breeze rustling through the willows with each step she put between them. At any other time, she’d have dissected her reaction to the forest. Not now. And she didn’t stop. No way was she getting captured again without a fight.
Air beat in and out of her lungs in tandem with the pounding of her feet on the rocky ground. Moonlight filtered through the branches overhead, highlighting her path. Her hair caught on the tree limbs, snatching at the loose strands. Some of the hanging vines prodded her arms and stabbed her sides. Her breath hitched, and she missed a step, lurching forward. Something inside her tightened. Her arms swayed and her core muscles flexed. Before she face planted, everything balanced out. She blinked. More scared now than she’d ever been in her life. Something controlled her body and it had reflexes far superior to a normal human.
Moisture gathered in her eyes, blurring her vision. She blinked it away. Panic would only get her caught.
Raine glanced at the moon. It had shifted twice—now in front of her, rather than behind. She stilled. The trees rustled with the wind. An owl hooted. But she still didn’t hear the annoying bay of the dogs.
Ragged breaths beat hard in her ears. A horn’s blare sounded in the distance. Fear and excitement gave her a burst of energy. Cars meant help. She urged her body faster.
Street lights peeked through the trees. Air panted out of her chest. A second car honked, speeding past another. She was almost there. So close. Thank god. She was going to make it.
Slowing down at the edge of a hill, she darted glances around the now quiet street. No people milled about or walked around. Nothing. A big store, one she recognized from the one time she’d gotten lost in the shadier side of town, sat a block to her right. The sudden quiet made sense now. Nothing good happened this far south of Tempting Eats. It was known as the dead side. The thought alone gave her chills. Women went missing…all the time. That had been enough to keep her uptown in suburbia-peace-nation.
She glanced around, searching for anyone who might be waiting for her or even any of the dangerous men her neighbors said roamed the streets, but there was nothing, not a single being. Her feet hit the pavement in a rush. Once across the street, she hid inside a dark alley. The stench of rotting food and piss coated the air with a thick blanket of disease and chaos. Her throat convulsed, and the acidic taste of bile hit the back of her tongue.
Retreating, she took several steps toward the end of the street to a small motel. Its yellow, neon Vacancy sign blinked on and off with a buzz. A man’s yell pushed her to slink into the dark. The sound came from the shadows in front of the motel.

Prayers For Randy Travis

I felt so bad when Randy was having his problems of late. He's a talented singer and sometimes celebrity gets the best of you.

If you are up on celebrity news...you'll know that he was suffering from a virus that sent him into congestive heart failure. He started to improve only to suffer a stroke.

He's 54 years old.

Celebrity or not, that is too young to be in such condition. I wouldn't wish that health on anyone...

Prayers going out to Randy for a good recovery..and hope that the stroke wasn't too severe.

Album Review: Mr. Saxophone - I Sneeze In Threes

Artist: Mr. Saxophone
Album: I Sneeze In Threes
Review by Andrea Guy

Fun, fabulous and funny are three words that can best describe the music on Mr. Saxophone's latest release I Sneeze In Threes. While the album is geared towards the kiddos in your life, the songs will appeal to just about everyone.

The album features three parodies that will have mom and dad grinning as they listen. "Luke, I Am Your Father" is a geek's dream parody.  It will be hard to listen to "Smoke On The Water" the same after hearing this one.  While the original tune isn't as catchy as Weird Al's American Pie parody "The Saga Begins" it will still appeal to the sci fi geeks out there.

The most fun parody is "The Gila."  The interview with the gila monster is the perfect intro to the "Tequila" melody.

The final parody is "Gravy Stain." The title should inspire some groans from Ozzy Osborne fans. This song is just slightly disappointing because most people with a knowledge of the song know how hard it rocks. The funny lyrics make up for it though, and if you can put aside the fact that the guitars aren't wailing enough to appreciate the humor, it really is an excellent, if not super silly parody of the classic rock tune.

There will be a few giggles by those listening that are old enough to get the humor when you hear "ancient Chinese secret." which appeared in Calgon detergent commercials in the 1970s.

Step back to the 60s for the psychedelic title track. This song will give allergy sufferers something to smile about as Mr. Saxophone sings about the misery that accompanies this sneezes. It is rather surprising that "I Sneeze In Threes" is the track that closes out the album. It could be a matter of saving the best for last, but there's so much good going on that it doesn't matter.

"Mothership" is a homage to 70's funk that is all about making you get your groove on. It is a groovy way to open the album. This song is simply serious fun, or maybe fun with a serious message. Whichever way you choose to think of this song, you won't forget how much fun it is to listen to.

The songs aren't all silly though. "Earth & Sky Lullaby" has a beautiful ethereal melody that will probably appeal more to the grown ups then the kids. This song is proof that Mr. Saxophone can do more than make you laugh. This ballad has is part psychedelic and part progressive rock.

The jazzy "Hugs & Kisses" has a touch of childish innocence. This song was written by Shepard Stern and appeared on the Disney Babies Playtime album in 1991.

This album is such a fun listen because it easily breaks all the age barriers. There are only one or two songs that scream out, well, sing out that they are for kids. One of those songs is "What's That Sound." The song is full of sounds of every variety. This is a definite winner for the younger set.

I Sneeze In Threes is more than just an album for the kids to enjoy. It is much more than that. Mr. Saxophone has tapped into a little secret, a lot of kids like the same music that their parents like. The touches of whimsy and the great parodies make this an album fall all ears. Whatever your reason for listening to the album, you'll be sure to be pleased at the end.

So grab a copy and stick it in your CD player and leave it there. You won't be embarrassed when it comes on when  you're driving around with your friends instead of your kids.

Blinded and scarred in a freak accident a year ago, Teresa has finally found love and a new career with the help of her companion dog, Red. Red appears to be a typical German shepherd, but he shares a mental communication link with his owner that is anything but ordinary. He’s articulate, sassy and opinionated- he’s also scary smart, and has a talent for tracking.

Teresa and Red, have partnered with ex-Navy men, David, and Bastian, to form Team Red. This unique Team helps the local police department sift through evidence to find forensic clues that only a Red's sensitive nose, and Teresa's ability to ask the right questions can uncover. A twist of fate brings Team Red to the attention of the Military, and the Team gets ready for their first undercover mission (we can only divulge at this point that Red looks adorable in his tux).

Chapter One

“Banzai!” I heard the scratch of dog claws scramble across the deck and straight off the edge.

“What the…?”

Ken’s laughter started indoors and got louder as he rolled the screen door open so he could step outside to stand by me on the back deck. “Teresa, your dog is totally wicked. He must have launched himself eight feet out to catch that.”

“Catch what?” I needed a clue here. Maybe I could ask for a vowel? “All I heard was him yelling ‘Banzai’ as he dashed past me out from his dog door.”

“Damn it! Red!” David’s voice shouted from the kitchen area as he stormed through the house and joined us outside. “Where did he go?”

Oh, oh, someone’s in trouble. In my mind I heard what sounded like “Mwah ha ha.” A very satisfied, doggy version of maniacal laughter.

“I hear evil chuckles emanating from under the deck,” I tattled.

“Red!” David yelled again, stomping down the six steps leading to the back lawn. “You promised you’d leave them alone.”

“What?” I asked. Sometimes being blind is so frustrating. “What did he promise to leave alone? What’s happening?”

“Red just took out one of the mini-drones,” Ken explained. “He leapt right off the deck and caught one in mid-air. It was totally awesome!”

“Not so awesome, Ken,” I replied with the Voice of Reason. “Do you have any idea how much those things cost?”

A voice interrupted from under the deck: “According to the Rules of Engagement, it was flying over the DMZ. Per our contract, I’m allowed to take out anything in the red zone.”

“What contract? You’re a one-year old, you’re too young to contract with anyone.” I sighed, shaking my head, “Geez, what am I saying? You’re a dog, who would be crazy enough to make a contract with you in the first place? And, what are you talking about? Rules of Engagement and Demilitarized Zones?”

Ken figured out the conversation based on my replies to the dog. “David and Bas are testing the mini-drone maneuverability portion of the program they’re developing,” Ken explained. “Red promised to stop snatching them out of the air as long as David kept them away from the deck area, henceforth to be known as the demilitarized zone.”

Henceforth, huh? I think that’s the first time I’ve heard a real person say that word in a conversation. I kept my snarky thoughts to myself.

“Geez Red,” I heard David’s muffled grumble from under the deck below my feet. “Just how many of these do you have down here?” There was a short pause. “Eight? You caught eight drones?”

I joined Ken in another peal of laughter. “What do you expect David? He’s a dog, he’s going to chase them,” I reasoned. “Isn’t that why you started having them made of hard rubber, instead of metal?” Personally, I thought he was fortunate Red only collected drones and didn’t feel an urge to bury them too.

“I caught most of them before we set up the Rules of Engagement,” Red rebutted. “The other two were within jumping distance of the deck, so I’m allowed to catch them.”

I repeated Red’s words for David’s benefit.

“We were flying a pattern ten feet away from the deck rail,” David protested.

“Ah, I underestimated his jump by two feet,” Ken confided in me, sounding like a proud parent. In a louder voice, “That was a ten foot leap Red. Most excellent!”

I jabbed a playful elbow in Ken’s side. “Stop encouraging him. What if he accidentally swallows one?”

Secretly, I agreed with Ken. The drones David used to refine his software were vaguely shaped like helicopters for maneuverability. Not much larger than golf balls with two inch tails, they measured three to three and a half inches in total length. I could hear them constantly buzzing around our property as the guys ran their simulations. While we had established speed limits around the house, some of the drones were capable of moving very fast, depending on the program being tested. It was impressive that Red, from a running leap, could take one out of the air.

David’s booted footsteps were heavy as he clomped up the steps. He stopped in front of me. “Here hold on to these,” he requested. I heard a clacking sound as he, presumably, dropped the retrieved hardware in Ken’s hands. Then he speared fingers through my hair tilting my face up for a warm kiss. “Good morning, Beautiful.”

“Hey, Gorgeous,” I replied, melting into the sexiest mouth in the Inland Northwest, sliding my free arm behind his neck to deepen the contact; I mustn’t spill the coffee held in my other hand.  David tasted faintly of Columbian roast and… was that a donut?  No one offered Me a donut this morning.

“Oh, Puh-leeze. Get a room for goodness sakes,” Ken complained, sounding mock-disgusted. “Here, let me grab your mug before you spill this last swallow down David’s back. I’m making a fresh pot so I’ll refresh your coffee when it’s ready. I need to check on the chicken I’m marinating for lunch.” The mug was pried from my surprisingly firm grip (I am serious about my java), leaving me free to slide the second arm completely around David’s wide back as Ken wandered back to his kitchen.

About the Author

     T. Hammond lives in Spokane, WA with her goofy, neurotic, long-coat German shepherd, Dexter; he's noble and brave, until someone turns on the microwave, then she has 100lbs of quivering dog trying to hide behind her chair or bury his head under a pillow (Little known fact: a 100lb German Shepherd CAN fit under a coffee table).
     T. writes two concurrent versions of the Team Red series for both the Adult and New Adult audiences. Blind Seduction and Color Blind are part of the Blind series - featuring adult-themed erotic romance combined with a humorous paranormal storyline. The Red series featuring Red Rover and Red Zone (release date Aug 23rd) is a funny paranormal romance series with a lighter PG13 type storyline. While both series contain the same character names and a lot of shared dialogue, the Red series is stripped of sexual content and language.
T feels that writing is not a calling so much as it is a compulsion. No one is more surprised than she is when characters take over the plot and dialog, and (re)direct stories in directions she had not (consciously) intended. She is fully convinced that the writer is the tool a story uses to tell its tale. Some tools, of course, are more appropriate for the job than others. Here's hoping, you feel she did her stories proud.
     T. has a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management from Whitworth University, and a Master's Degree in Organizational Leadership from Gonzaga University and before becoming a writer she was a bookkeeper, technical/manual writer, Call Center Manager and the owner of a freshwater aquarium store, Guppy Tales.

Movie Review: Identity Thief

Blurb: Unlimited funds have allowed Diana to live it up on the outskirts of Orlando. There's only one glitch: she's financing her shopping sprees with an ID stolen from Sandy Patterson, an accounts rep who lives halfway across the U.S. With only one week to hunt down the con artist before his world implodes, the real Sandy Patterson is forced to extreme measures to clear his name. He hits the road to confront the woman with an all-access pass to his life and coerce her into making the 2,000 mile road trip back to Colorado to set things right.

Review: Melissa McCarthy proves once more that she can play the crass obnoxious fat girl better than anyone. Her character Diana/Sandy is a far cry from the sweet school teacher she plays on Mike and Molly

Diana is a huge con artist, making a living stealing identities and living high on the hog, which she does with no amount of style.

When the real Sandy Bigelow Patterson (Jason Bateman), hunts her down, in hopes of putting his life to rights chaos and hilarity ensue.

This is a very physical comedy with Diana being a kickass...or rather throat punching con artist, who survives things that no other person should without even a scratch. Which is why the ending seems so very unreal.

But not to worry about the ending, it is the stuff in between that makes this movie laugh out loud funny. (For adults....) The language in this movie is quite colorful, so I'd try to avoid having little ones watch...and there's one rather naughty scene with Diana and a guy she picked up at a bar (played by Modern Family's Eric Stonestreet) that's rather...racy..without anyone seeing anything.

This movie is laugh out loud funny in many ways..though it is hard to believe someone in finance got railroaded by this woman...as you see in the opening scenes.

What I loved about McCarthy's character in this film over that of her Bridesmaids character is how she did turn into more of a lady at the end. The makeover she had when she was in St Louis really turned her into "Molly" or rather an upscale Molly.

So no it isn't a family film, but it is a fun one.

Blurb: Disney’s fantastical adventure Oz The Great And Powerful, from the director of the Spider-Man trilogy, follows Oscar Diggs (James Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics. When Diggs is hurled away to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot — until he meets three witches (Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams), who aren’t convinced he’s the great wizard everyone’s expecting. Reluctantly drawn into epic problems facing Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it’s too late. Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity — and even some wizardry — Oscar transforms himself into the great wizard and a better man as well.

Review: This film is pre-Wizard of Oz but it pays homage to a lot of things from the original film from 1939.

Disney did a wonderful job bringing the Wizard's story to life in a modern way...although fans of Wicked may not like the telling of how the Wicked Witch of the West became wicked.

Here are my likes and dislikes from the movie

LIKES:

Loved Mila Kunis as Theodora. It was hard at first to deal with her in this film because she still felt like Jackie from That 70s Show, but as the story unfolded, her bitchiness made her a really great Wicked Witch.

Oscar Diggs aka The Wizard: I really loved James Franco, even though he reminded me of Matt Lebanc. I liked how his character grew from conman to a man with a real heart. If you watch closely you'll see that there was goodness within him from the beginning.

The opening scenes in Kansas. I loved how they were done in black in white, just as the opening scenes were in the 39 movie.

Danny Elfman's film score...Ahhh total bliss. I knew he was doing the music the minute I heard the opening notes.

Finley the flying monkey and the China Girl: both animated characters really shined through. Finley was played by Zac Braff of Scrubs fame, and he was absolutely adorable.

Dislikes:

I love computer generated animation for the most part, but at times, this film seemed too much. It almost ...no the color scenes often did hurt my eyes.

I wasn't keen on the romantic ties between Oscar and Glinda...Why must everything have to be about love?  blech!

Definitely a good movie for fans of The Wizard Of Oz. The acting is great overall and so is the story. Sure the animation makes the movie seem childlike, but it is more animation for adults.

I don't usually sit well through 2 hour movies, but this one was worth it.

Spotlight: Kiss Me in Paris by Kimberly Kinrade

Travel to the most romantic city in the world and fall in love with Winter and Cade!
If reviewers can be believed—and OF COURSE they can be—then Kiss Me in Paris is an epic tale of love, romance, family, friendship and forgiveness. For those of you who might think this book is just another insipid romance, not so my friend.

Not so.

You will pee your pants laughing and cry your eyes out weeping. You will become so angry you might need to punch something, and you will sigh in pure happiness. One reviewer even left part of her soul IN THE WORDS OF OUR BOOK.

Yes, this is the power of Kiss Me in Paris. It's SOUL STEALING, and we are not going to apologize for that.

You see, we are the authors, and we are married, living our own epic romance. So epic we even had a fan-following during the early days of our courtship. So we know love.
And we know you will love Kiss Me in Paris—a book that has garnered only FIVE STAR REVIEWS on Amazon as of the writing of this, and, we hope, forever and always!

This week is our wedding anniversary, and Kiss Me in Paris is our first book baby, so we're celebrating by offering this EPIC SAGA for only $2.99. That's $2 off launch price and less than the cost of a cup of coffee.

And it's fat free, gluten free, calorie free and won't stain your teeth.

It will also take you longer to read than a cup of coffee takes you drink, and it will give you an entire adventure in Paris. Unless you're drinking your coffee right there in the city of love, no coffee is going to do that for you.

If you are drinking your coffee in Paris right now, then firstly, we're jealous (send us a postcard, mmkay?), and secondly, still read this book, because PARIS. And LOVE. And EPICNESS.

Here's the part where we tell you about the book, but it's really not enough to do it justice. So let us first say that there is just so much in Kiss Me in Paris. Layered themes and a sexy cowboy studying to be an architect, and a girl who's a dreamer with a dark past, and gargoyles and Notre Dame and mazes designed by futuristic architects (because that's an actual thing, and Cade will tell you what that means), and heartbreak and love and happy endings and evil and just SO MUCH.

But here's the 'official' blurb about Kiss Me in Paris.

Kiss Me In Paris
When the city of love brings two lost souls together, only their darkest secrets can tear them apart.

Winter Deveaux tried love once. It didn't end well. Unable to open herself up to another heartbreak, she hides in her romance novels as she struggles to break out as a real author. She thinks Paris holds the answer to a new start, but when her nightmare follows her across the world, she's forced to face the darkness living like cancer inside her soul. If she doesn't, she might miss her chance to become the kind of writer she's always wanted to be. But more than that, she'll miss out on the greatest love she's ever known.

Cade Savage is heir to the largest ranching family in Texas. Part cowboy, part architect, Cade has his feet forever in two worlds. When he receives an acceptance letter from the school of his dreams, he must decide between family and destiny. But ghosts from his past still haunt him, and circumstances beyond his control may decide his fate.

When Winter and Cade meet, everything they believe about life, love and what it means to be happy is put to the test.

Will the magic of Paris pull these two lost souls together? Or will their darkest secrets tear them apart?

Reviews are in for Kiss Me in Paris
5 stars "I experienced every emotion as each character felt it. Every tear, every laugh, all of the fear, anxiety, and stress, I experienced every last bit of it. And even though this is a romance, there are tears. I cried more times reading Kiss Me in Paris than I did watching Nicholas Sparks' The Last Song. Kiss Me in Paris left me hollow when I finally finished it. I feel as if a piece of me was left in the words as I read <this is where the book STEALS SOULS>. And for once, I have a book to call my favorite." ~Merumei on Amazon
5 stars "A timeless and beautiful love story that will sweep you off your feet, but it's also much more than that. <We're not making this part up. These are real reviews.>" ~Amy Conley, Amazon
5 stars "Beautifully drawn characters and stunning pallets that bring you in to Paris itself. <Where else are you going to get a trip to Paris for $2.99. WHERE?>" ~Stormy, Amazon

Some favorite quotes from Kiss Me in Paris

  • "One star breaks off from the others, shooting across the sky, a bright light trailing behind it, and I finally understand why people wish on dying stars. Because something always has to die for life to give birth to a new dream. "
  • "Paris is pregnant with layers of history, colored with the ink of artists who dared to dream of a world only they could see."
  • "It's like I'm giving birth from my mouth." <You'll understand this when you get to chapter 5. Then you'll pee your pants laughing.>
  • "It's the nature of being human that, in our own blindness, we lash out and blind others."
  • "I think of Winter, of her smile, her eyes, her arms wrapped around me, and I know where home is. It's wherever she is, and right now she is too far away. My heart has escaped my body and is walking Paris without me."
  • "She opened herself to him, and, in that moment, she opened herself to the world. Let it hurt her. Let it burn her veins, boil her blood and scorch her heart. For where there could be pain, there could be pleasure and love. She would be cold no longer. She would melt the hearts of others, and in turn, they would melt hers. She would feel the full spectrum of emotions and cry. She would be human. And she would be happy."

And this is just a SAMPLE. It's like hearing an inside joke if you weren't at the party. So go to the party, and by this stretched metaphor we mean READ THE BOOK. Then you can laugh and *le sigh* and cry and be a part of the cool crowd.

A Blast From The Past YouTube Style

I've been watching a lot of stuff on YouTube lately. More than I really need to be watching. Weird videos, music videos, old Doctor Who episodes...

Oh how I  love those old Doctor Who episodes..

But while I was watching some music videos...oh Mtv...remember what those were?

I came across an Adam Ant video from around 89 or 90...

Room At The Top...from his Manners & Physique album, which was totally awesome.

Leave The Preaching Out Of My Videos

Have any of you seen the Tim McGraw video for Highway Don't Care?

I like country music. I also enjoy a good video as much as the next person, but I hate when videos decide to take a stand for something. In this case texting and driving.

Really Tim, somehow I don't think your audience is in the right age range....

Love the song..hate the video

The Sixth Doctor and Why You Should Love Him

Colin Baker's Sixth Doctor is a whole lot more awesome than some people would like you to believe.

Here are some reasons why you should love this guy.

1. The totally insane outfit. Very eye catching...or rather very painful on the eyes and yet it is fun.

2. He's a fighter. To those that think that The Doctor is all peace and harmony..well they missed Colin Baker's tenure, because he really kicked some ass.

3. Crazy companions...Peri and her rather revealing costumes and Mel and her carrot juice. Poor guy...can't win.

4. For all the fangirls out there, Colin was actually kinda cute in that Greatest American Hero kinda way.

5. There were some really great episodes..The Trial Of A Time Lord and Timelash

Those are five good reasons..now go give The Sixth Doctor some love!
