Musical Associations

Have you ever associated a song with something or someone, even though it really should stand on its own. In my case, its the song The Gambler by Kenny Rogers. About a year ago I saw a clip from the BBC series Blackpool. After that, I could never not think of David Tennant eating ice cream when I hear this song.

Have any of you had anything similar happen with a song?

All. The. Time!

I can't hear "Instant Karma" without thinking about the time a teenage buddy introduced me to the song on a flight home from Mexico...I can't hear "Stand By Me" without thinking of my days as a kid at summer camp.

Music has a way of bringing back some long-lost memories...and that's awesome!
